Description:
This work transcribes Autumn Evening in the Empty Mountain by Tang dynasty poet Wang Wei. The poem paints a tranquil scene of mountains after fresh rain, with autumn air settling in, moonlight shining between pines, and clear springs flowing over stones. The imagery shifts gently to lively human activity — the sound of bamboo as women return from washing clothes, and lotus leaves stirring as fishing boats pass.

Written in Seal Script (Zhuan Shu), the calligraphy reflects both the elegance of ancient character forms and the meditative stillness of the poem. The red ink and stately composition evoke a sense of timeless serenity.

Excerpt Translation:
After fresh rain in the empty mountains, the weather turns to autumn in the evening.
Bright moonlight shines between the pines, and clear springs flow over stones.
Bamboo rustles as washerwomen return; lotus sways as fishing boats drift past.
Carefree, the spring blossoms fade — yet noble guests may linger still.
