This original calligraphy work by Li Wei features an excerpt from Mi Fu’s “The Poem Scroll of the Tiaoxi River” (苕溪诗帖), delicately handwritten in flowing cursive script and accompanied by a classical figure of a lady holding a white rabbit—evoking feelings of sentimentality, parting, and poetic grace.

The work reflects Li Wei’s deep grounding in traditional calligraphy aesthetics and literati spirit. A Cultural Exchange Chairman of Yu JIAN Academy and a University of Rochester alumna with dual Master's degrees in Management and Information Science, Li Wei has trained in Liu-style regular script since childhood, later excelling in cursive and running script under Sun Wenjia. Her works have appeared in national and international exhibitions across North America and Asia.

This is a unique, unframed, original handwritten work, with both artistic and collectible value.

Translation of the poem (by Mi Fu, Song Dynasty):
"My close friend departs in spring, the red roses bloom in summer's pride.
The clustered branches seem content, looking at me as if filled with affection.
Casually, the orchids follow their hue, surely, there's no lack of stones to echo their sound.
Yet, I pity the bright moon, still shining as it accompanies my boat."
