Description
This running script work by Chen Xun features two poems by Zhao Di of the Ming Dynasty — Titled Landscapes (III) and Titled Landscapes (IV). The brushwork is fluent and expressive, conveying the poetic imagery of misty mountains, autumn monkeys, flowing waters, and serene homes. The piece captures the tranquil elegance of classical Chinese landscape poetry.

Text Translation (Excerpt):
(III) The Nine Yi Mountains dark as dusk clouds; when did the Emperor’s son leave, never to return? Only the autumn monkeys’ calls are endless, in the drizzling cold rain over layers of mountains.
(IV) Flowing waters pass secluded homes in caves; ancient trees hold monkeys in deep thought. How many times has the moon hung on rattan vines when away from home? The jade qin lies idle on the autumn stone.
