“Purple Gold Inkstone – After Mi Fu” Cursive Script by Li Wei

This original calligraphy work by Li Wei is a faithful tracing of Mi Fu’s “Zijin Inkstone Scroll” (《紫金砚帖》), written in elegant cursive script on golden cloud-pattern paper. The scroll commemorates Su Shi’s treasured inkstone, and this rendition captures the spirited rhythm and refined brushwork of the original Song master.

Li Wei, Cultural Exchange Chairman of Yu JIAN Academy and a University of Rochester alumna with dual Master's degrees, is deeply versed in classical scripts. She trained under calligrapher Sun Wenjia, with a solid foundation in Liu-style regular script, later turning her focus to running and cursive script in the Wei–Jin tradition. Her works have been widely exhibited across North America and Asia.

This piece is the only handwritten original, unframed, and crafted on special patterned calligraphy paper, ideal for collectors who appreciate historical depth and expressive form.
