“Song of Righteousness” by Wen Tianxiang Regular Script by Jing Jianwen

This original calligraphy artwork by Jing Jianwen features the powerful patriotic poem “Song of Righteousness” by Wen Tianxiang, a loyal minister of the Southern Song Dynasty. The piece is executed in regular script with clear structure and dignified rhythm, reflecting Jing’s solid foundation and refined brushwork.

Jing Jianwen, courtesy name Zhongchen and art name Haopeng, is also known as the Master of Fayizhai. Born in Shanxi, China, he holds dual Master’s degrees in Calligraphy and Law. He is a member of the China Calligraphers Association and the China Hard-Pen Calligraphy Association, and has been selected in over 200 exhibitions, winning 108 awards. His work has been featured in notable publications such as Contemporary Chinese Young and Middle-aged Calligraphy Art Appreciation.

The poem praises the enduring “righteous qi” that permeates the universe and guides the moral conduct of noble men. It is not only an artistic calligraphy piece, but also a spiritual statement embodying Chinese integrity and literati culture.

"Heaven and Earth possess the righteous qi,
which is diverse and endows all forms of life.
Below, it becomes the rivers and mountains;
above, it becomes the sun and stars.
In humans, it is called the noble spirit,
vast and filling the vastness of the heavens..."
