This one-of-a-kind original work by calligrapher Li Wei is a personal tracing of Mi Fu’s “Yanhe Scroll” (《研和帖》), an iconic letter from the Song Dynasty. Rendered in spontaneous cursive script on traditional hemp-fiber calligraphy paper, it reflects the artist’s profound grounding in historical forms and her sensitivity to ink, breath, and flow.
Li Wei is the Cultural Exchange Chairman of Yu JIAN Academy and an alumna of the University of Rochester with dual Master's degrees. Her early mastery in Liu-style regular script evolved into a refined passion for running and cursive scripts. She is known for her elegant control and classical temperament, evident in works that have been exhibited in North America and Asia.
This work is unframed, on hemp-textured traditional paper, and is the only handwritten original. A treasured addition for collectors and scholars alike.
